Storming the castle is not the same as reclaiming your power

We all have a default option for our life: it is where you just sorta go along with what is. You end up in a situation and you sorta are okay with it. And there is also a part of you that is always looking for the out. Looking for the better to just happen to you. You use all sorts of “magical” tools to help that along, like crystals and affirmations, belief clearing and astrology. Those are all part of the journey and there is more to it.
I'll call the life above the “default life”. It is not wrong to live this way. AND it is interesting to know that the system we live in is actually making and keeping you in your default life. This is not one of those coachy emails that blames you for your circumstances. The default is not your fault. It is not a problem. AND you can make a different choice.
The dominant overculture and its systems structures and ways need you to be a certain way in order to participate. You have to be kinda okay or ignorant to some people having major privilege and others having little. You have to be okay with working a lot. You have to be okay with cars and separate homes and discrimination. I know your mind says you disagree with those things, AND we all still participate in them. When you are default self, you are so bought in, that you don’t even know:
That the way you are afraid to believe in your dream is part of the system.
That the way you are unable know what you need is part of the system.
That the way you over analyze everything you say in social situations, is part of the system.
That the way you take on every problem as your own is part of the system.
That the way you cry at tough moments, or get mad about injustice, or just continue to learn about things, IS part of the system.
When people say DO THE WORK: they mean face the ways that the system has defaulted your life.
In contrast to being default, for the sake of what I’m speaking to: being human means that you are willing to be fully in your life. That you are willing to see, face, and feel the systemic programming inside of you, and UNTANGLE FROM IT. That you are willing to do the fiery work of alchemizing your “how it’s always been” into the gift that you are.
It is not easy and simple to be human, but it is worth it.
It is easy to see the system wobbling right now, as what was a year ago is far gone. Reality is being transformed and questioned more than ever before and with that actually comes the opportunity to reclaim your power.

What I mean by reclaiming your power is that you no longer have to give your energy to that internal control mechanism that makes you worry about what you said on a date in 2006. You have the opportunity to free your nervous system from the impulse that frets about “is the red dress is too much for a zoom meeting?”. You no longer have to be afraid of being burned at the stake because you talk to your herb plants.
Taking back your power does not mean storming the castle. It means claiming the parts of yourself that have been shut down: your intuition, your knowing, your trust in yourself, your relationship to the sacred, your responsibility, your beauty, your choice in what you focus on, your ability to deeply care and deeply love, your awareness of the subtle realms of spirit. It happens IN your body, and the mind follows. When enough of us unplug ourselves from the convenience of the inner default life… well in my vision it is fucking gorgeous. Come with me. Let’s make a future. Let’s be the generation that said yes to being human.
Claim your humanness. Claim the fact that you have health needs, you have emotions, you have a connection to the earth and to nature, you are connected to all humans, your very life is sacred.
So when I say I’m leading a course called "how to be human", I mean I’m going to show you how to land right here. How to see what’s been implanted in you for your participation in the system. And I’m going to teach you how to feel in your body where those lies live and how to cultivate and activate your power.
You are here on purpose. Who you are is the gift. When you are free to be yourself, you free someone else. You will still cry, you will still struggle. But rather than dismissing it and buying a crystal hoping it will one day go away, you will be able to know it and love it as part of your humanness.
I'd be honored to guide you through the process. Thank you for being here in your humanness. You are always welcome to write me back, even though the system tells you not to bother me. Love, Amy
