The Invisible Things Running Your Life

There’s a lot of stuff in the realms of personal growth about “mindset” and “clearing limiting beliefs”. That basically never worked for me. Although I have a very busy mind, there is WAY more to my human experience than my thoughts. Those techniques have worked for some people, maybe. Real transformation came for me when I stopped looking at myself in sections and reclaimed my whole (holy) self.
Rather than focusing on mindset or beliefs, I want to look at narratives. Because a narrative is inclusive. It’s like a play that involves the set, the setting, the time period, the characters, the weather, the audience, the director, the music, etc. Instead of just this thought “I’m not worthy”, there’s an entire structure in your nervous system, your history, your environment that generates those words. Our narratives are social and then they become individualized.

The narratives that we live inside of are so “normal” that they are often invisible to many of us. A simple example: I live in Colorado. It's basically a square that some dudes drew on a map, which itself is a drawing. I can look on a map and see "Colorado". I can see a sign that says "Leaving Colorado". But in the actual world, it's invisible. If we go deeper, this what white supremacy, the patriarchy, capitalism all are. They are invisible narratives that are running each of us and all of us. I see them as invisible chains that keep us doing, thinking, and saying certain things. I know we can liberate ourselves and sensitive ones are a KEY to this liberation. Those of us who are sensitive have actually seen the narrative in some way for most of our lives. For me it was always this question of “wait, why are we doing it this way” or “who says this is the right way”. For others they could read people really well. Some could see beings or speak to animals. All of that is the realm of the invisible or the realm of the imagination. In liberating ourselves, the first step is mentally learn what are the narratives. And if you want to actually shift them, you have to work with the body and its energy: movement, eating habits, time in the sun, emotional habits, the people you share energy with, the way you relate to your body, the sounds you have around you, the chemicals you have around you. All of these are part of the narrative, or the context, or the story you live inside. Humans have (maybe) always lived inside story, narrative, and archetypes. I truly know that every human story is a significant and beautiful thread in the human journey. AND we are also facing a huge moment, individually and collectively. We are at a point where the narrative we have lived in has reached a precipice. It feels like the sands are shifting underneath and it is doing it’s best to grab and control anything it can. When faced with a moment of not knowing what the future holds, we often experience confusion. And here’s the thing about confusion, it will feed itself. If you search and search and search for the answer. If you want to know what’s next, what do I do, how do I figure this out, then you feed the confusion itself. When we feed the confusion, we stay in the narrative. As bizarre as it seems, the confusion is actually the precursor to imagination: a glimmer the sacred truth pulsing across the lens of your world. Imagination comes when you let yourself be confused. Imagination is not the same as mentally drifting off into a land of distraction from reality. Imagination is the vehicle of the creator, it is the realm of possibility. It is the space where we get flashes of wisdom and knowing. It is the realm where the unseen becomes seen, the unknown becomes known, the magic begins to materialize. Here's the sense I’m getting about where humanity is being invited: It will be born from our imaginations, and we can’t bring our current narrative with us. We all have these internal maneuvers we do in this world, they don't work in the new space. We have to unplug from our old ways. Which seems pretty intense and confusing when we don’t even really know how to see. I created my course “How to be Human” because right now, we are basically robots inside of a narrative and many of us have forgotten the powerful invisible realm. We don’t see how it is distorting us. Many of us have either forgotten the imagination realms OR we are trying to use them while still biologically chained to the collective narrative. My goal with the course is to help you see where you are plugged in, to give you tools to unplug, and to get you to reclaim your power and share with us the magic that you see and know. You don’t have to identify as “sensitive” or an “empath” to do this course. I’m hosting a free class if you are curious to know more, but not ready to jump all the way in to a six week course. The class will be Thursday morning at 10:00-11:00am MST, recording will be available after. If you want to sign up for the free class, REPLY to this email and I’ll send you the zoom link. As always, I am honored that you have taken the time to tune into my writing. Your attention is a gift. As you go about your day, I encourage you to look for the invisible and lean into the confusion. Email me if you would like some individual support. Amy
